


Jack is the father of three—ranging in age from 21 to 36.He holds Masters‘ degrees in Counseling and Teaching from the University of Pittsburgh and a PhD in Psychology from California School of Professional Psychology. He is an expert in the areas of new parenthood, fathering and men‘s issues, having taught, written and counseled others for over thirty years. Jack is also a popular speaker and presenter who has appeared as a guest on radio and television (See: Celesta’s video). His first book, Pregnant Fathers: Entering Parenthood Together has been translated into six languages. The latest edition is titled, Fathering Right From the Start: Straight Talk about Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond. Jack appears in and collaborated in the production of the DVD, To Be A Father’, hosted by Ray Romano and Antonio Bandaras.
In addition to his private practice for individuals, couples and families, Jack is a consultant and offers workshops and salons to parents and community service organizations.
When he isn‘t working Jack enjoys music and landscaping.
Ellen is a mother, therapist and educator. She received her Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Michigan. For over thirty years, Ellen´s work has focused on developing helping communities, supporting the psychological and social needs of families from diverse socioeconomic and geographical settings, and on mental health issues of girls and women. She has taught graduate courses in family therapy and social work and developed mental health programs for community organizations.
Her breadth of knowledge augmented by her empathic therapeutic style, have earned her recognition and respect in the field of family therapy. She was recently honored as Clinical Social Worker of the Year in San Diego. Presently, in addition to her private practice work, Ellen does supervision and training of professionals. She loves reading, artwork and dancing.
